For a retailer to succeed, they must communicate a clear and distinctive image. Whether a store expands its business or it is made up of many departments, a consistent identity is paramount
to building a customer's loyalty.
Mission
Jarrold are an established family business. As well as a department store in Norwich, they have branches throughout East Anglia.
A consistent image was needed throughout the stores as competition increased in the millennium.
An identity was created by

to combine a sense of tradition with a modern feel; the objective being to retain existing customers and attract the younger demographic too.

Mission
Identity guidelines were designed to help managers and staff ensure
in-store signage, bags, advertising
and marketing materials, were all visually consistent.

Mission
Typography guidelines were included in the identity as well as a colour palette which could be used by external suppliers.
